It's Elvis and The Beatles Saturday night at Perfect Game Field Cedar Rapids, IA – It's 'Elvis meets The Beatles' on Saturday, August 14 at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium and this place will rock! Gates open at 6:00 and Joe 'Elvis' Tirrito takes the stage at 7:00 pm, followed by the American English Beatles Tribute Band for a night of fun and great music. Tickets are available on-line at www.kernels.com, in person at the Kernels Ticket Office, or by calling 896-7560 after 10 am. Reserved seats are $15 in advance and $20 the night of the show. An all-inclusive food and beverage concert package is also available on the Miller Mezzanine for $35 and $40 the night of the show. | Rain A Tribute to The Beatles Airs on PBS Aug. 14 Posted: 13 Aug 2010 09:15 PM PDT Rain – A Tribute to The Beatles Airs on PBS Aug. 14 By Adam Hetrick The Broadway-bound concert, Rain – A Tribute to The Beatles, is broadcast beginning Aug. 14 on PBS WLIW21 in the New York Area. Prior to its October Broadway bow, WLIW21 is airing the 90-minute special that features songs made famous by the iconic British rock group performed live on stage. The exclusive broadcast also promises interviews with Rain band members. The local PBS air times are 9:30 PM on Aug. 14 and 1:30 PM on Aug. 15.Rain – A Tribute to The Beatles on Broadway will begin its 11-week engagement Oct. 19 and continue through Jan. 2, 2011, at the Neil Simon Theatre. In Rain, vocalists, musicians and entertainers Joey Curatolo, Joe Bithorn, Ralph Castelli, Steve Landes and Mark Lewis perform the Beatles' hits live on stage and recreate the numerous iconic looks made famous by the rock band. Curatolo, Bithorn, Castelli and Landes all appeared in the touring productions of Beatlemania. According to producers, "From the early days of their appearance on 'The Ed Sullivan Show' in 1964 through Sgt. Pepper and on to the Abbey Road years, Rain performs it all. The multi-media concert recaptures the era through all phases of The Beatles astounding musical career including Shea Stadium, the psychedelic late 60s and The Beatles long-haired hippie, hard-rocking rooftop days. A fusion of historical footage and hilarious television commercials lights up video screens and live cameras zoom in for close-ups." Certain performances of Rain will also feature Graham Alexander, Mark Beyer, Joe Bologna, Doug Cox, Jim Irizarry, David Leon, Jimmy Pou, Mac Ruffing and Tom Teeley.
