NEW YORK, June 8 (UPI) -- "Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles on Broadway" is to play a limited 11-week engagement this fall at New York's Neil Simon Theatre, the show's producers said.

Previews are to begin Oct. 19, with the official opening scheduled for Oct. 26. The engagement is to run through Jan. 2, 2011.

"'Rain' performs the full range of The Beatles' discography live onstage, including the most complex and challenging songs that The Beatles themselves recorded in the studio but never performed for an audience," producers said in a press release Tuesday. "From the early days of their appearance on 'The Ed Sullivan Show' in 1964 through 'Sgt. Pepper' and on to the Abbey Road years, 'Rain' performs it all."

The news release said the show also covers Beatles music from the Shea Stadium concert, "the psychedelic late 1960s and The Beatles' long-haired hippie, hard-rocking rooftop days."
